Privacy policy

Who we are

invoicebilling.app (the "Website") is operated by InvoiceBilling ("we", "us", "our"). It is a free invoice, estimate and GST invoice generator.

This policy explains what data we handle when you use the Website. Our iOS and Android apps have their own app privacy policy.

The short version

  • You can use the Website without an account.
  • Without an account, your drafts stay in your browser. Nothing is uploaded.
  • We do not sell your data.
  • We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking.

Using the Website without an account

When you do not sign in:

  • Your invoice and estimate drafts are saved in your browser using localStorage. This includes any logo you upload.
  • PDFs are made in your browser. Your invoice data and files are not sent to our servers.
  • We cannot see or recover this data. If you clear your browser data, it is gone.

Using the Website with an account

Accounts are optional and are coming soon. You can sign in with Google or with an email magic link.

If you create an account, we handle:

  • Your email address and basic sign-in details from Google, if you use Google sign-in.
  • Invoices and estimates you choose to save.
  • Clients, items, and your business profile.
  • Your business logo.

We store this so you can open your work on any device. We use it only to run the service for you.

Subscription and payment data

Pro is sold through Dodo Payments. Dodo Payments is the Merchant of Record. This means it sells the subscription to you, takes your payment, and handles sales tax and VAT.

  • We never see or store your full card number.
  • Dodo Payments collects the details it needs to process your order, such as your name, email, billing country, and payment details.
  • We receive limited information from Dodo Payments, such as your subscription status, plan, and order details.
  • Dodo Payments handles your data under its own privacy policy.

You can manage or cancel your subscription through the customer portal link in Settings.

Service providers

We use a small number of providers to run the Website:

  • Supabase: authentication and database hosting for accounts.
  • Dodo Payments: payments and subscriptions.
  • Vercel: website hosting. Vercel may process technical data such as IP address and request logs to deliver the site and keep it secure.
  • Google: only if you choose Google sign-in.

These providers act on our behalf or under their own policies. We only share what is needed for each service to work.

Cookies and local storage

We use only essential cookies and local storage. They are used for:

  • Your theme (light or dark).
  • Your language.
  • Saving your drafts.
  • Keeping you signed in, if you have an account.

We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking.

If we add analytics later, we will choose a privacy-friendly tool and update this policy.

How we use data

We use data to:

  • Provide the invoice tools and generate your PDFs.
  • Save your work to your account.
  • Manage your subscription and give you Pro features.
  • Keep the Website secure and fix problems.
  • Reply to your support emails.

We do not use your invoice data for advertising or profiling. We do not sell your data.

Sharing

We share data only:

  • With the providers listed above, to run the service.
  • If the law requires it.
  • To protect our rights, users, or the Website from fraud or abuse.

Data retention and deletion

  • Browser drafts stay until you clear them or clear your browser data.
  • Account data stays until you delete your account.
  • You can delete your account at any time in Settings, under Delete account. This permanently deletes your account, saved documents, clients, items, business profile and logo, and cancels any active Pro subscription. You can also ask us to do it by emailing support@invoicebilling.app.
  • We may keep limited records where the law requires, for example payment and tax records held by Dodo Payments.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • Access the data we hold about you.
  • Correct it.
  • Delete it.
  • Export it.
  • Object to or limit some processing.

To use these rights, email support@invoicebilling.app. We will reply within a reasonable time.

Security

We use reputable providers and standard safeguards such as encrypted connections. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot promise absolute security.

Drafts saved in your browser depend on the security of your own device and browser.

Children

The Website is not meant for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from them. If you think a child has given us data, email us and we will delete it.

International transfers

Our providers may process data in other countries. Where required, they use safeguards for those transfers.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of the page shows the latest version. If a change is important, we will make it clear on the Website.
